Where to vote on Election Day, Oct 24, 2022.
I do not belong to any specific party nor am I associated with former political figures like the other candidates in my ward. I want real change, vote Ali.
I am pledging to find additional revenue streams for the city and to demonstrate my commitment to the community and I pledge to donate my first year's councillor salary to the city and Ward 4.
I have been living in this community for many years and this is the place I've chosen to raise my family. I want to make this community the best place to live for all our families. As an individual, I have done all I can to bring positive change, but I can make a bigger difference as a councillor.
In response to the gaps in our transportation network and the price gouging of big companies like Uber, I started a rideshare company which provides riders with reasonable fees and a bigger payout for drivers. I understand with today's economic situation people are entering the gig economy and earning a side income to make ends meet. I have put more money in the pockets of gig workers while helping people get around the city at a competitive price.
I am a project management professional and I am currently working as a part-time project management instructor. I am sharing my experience with others and helping young people learn and excel in their careers.
